Arron Sears
•Sears was named the Buccaneers’ starter left
guard from week 1 and gave an outstanding performance –2007 NFL
All-Rookie award for his performance •Sears started all 31 of his
career games in his first two seasons •On June 2, 2009, Sears
suffered a concussion and sustained neurological damage - he was
only 25 years old
Don Smith
•Smith was a running back for Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1987-1989
•He sustained repetitive traumatic impacts to his head and
concussions on multiple occasions during his career in the NFL •He
currently suffers from various neurological conditions and symptoms
related to the multiple head traumas
Jimmie Giles
•From 1978-1986 Giles played tight end for Tampa Bay Buccaneers
•December 4, 2011 Tampa Bay Buccaneers inducted Giles into the
team’s Ring of Honor •He sustained repetitive traumatic impacts
to his head and concussions on multiple occasions during his
career in the NFL •He currently suffers from various
neurological conditions and symptoms related to the multiple
head traumas

•It is estimated that there are thousands of NFL players who
sustained head injuries causing career and life damaging
repercussions •The NFL knowingly sent players into harms way
after having evidence that head injuries such as concussions can
lead to permanent damages
